will give you a good idea of the fields.

        ..  -adobe-helvetica      ...... is the font name ?
        ..  -bold
        ..  -r                     ?????
        ..  -normal                dimension ???
        ..  --12-120-75-75-p-70-iso8859-1 .... ????? 

        i've to manage fonts of an application running on solaris to make
them more 
        visible (now are too little)
