We deliver set_for_sim which does exactly as you require (although note that
a block such as GDEV does not have an IOMOPT, rather, alternate params which
accomplish your simulation requirements).
Its companion, unset_for_sim returns the appropriate parameter back to its
original state.
Each operates with your CP's letterbug as its argument.
Do you have our Release Notes for I/A Series systems?  It's all clearly
documented.
