PAS- PlantState Suite can connect to FoxHistory or AIM*Historian using ODBC 

but their solution for Legacy Historian is 'ftp' . 

As you mentioned, our primary intention is replacement for the printers and
real time 

update on screen . Alarm Analysis is secondary .  FTP'ing  will not serve
ourpurpose.
