Its not a matter of technical ability, of course the integrated CP in a box 
could have been ported over to v8.

The reason is purely a marketing decision.

Was there a technical reason that the AW70x 'virtual' CP feature did not make 
the leap to the version 8.x platform? You would think that with all the 
windowsy .Net archestra infusionation, things would be easier on that front.
