Re: [foxboro] FSIM as a replacement for the AW70X

I too had the same experience when requesting a quote for FSIM.
We opted to buy a mini system. It was more practical. FSIM probably has
a host of features that we don't need.

Subject: [foxboro] FSIM as a replacement for the AW70X

Does any end user have experience in using FSIM as a replacement for a
AW70X? Given the pricing I have received for FSIM, although it may be a
more functional replacement, it doesn't seem like a practical one. It
seems like it would be cheaper to purchase a AW, switches and a CP270
and have the spares to boot. I could probably also buy a car to drive it
around. Perhaps I didn't use the right verbiage when I requested the
quote?
I had an opportunity to use FSIM a few years back. I liked it, but it is
a lot more than what I currently need for simple off-line training and
development (and priced accordingly).

It seems like the loss of the AW70x at v 8.x is a big one to the user
community, another backwards step?

Let me know if someone has had a different experience.
