Frits,
There was an advantage upgrade on the FCM100 modules for XCP270,( turn in
an FBI10 or FCM10E or similar and you get a serious discount on the
FCM100...) I suppose even if they discontinued the FCM10e's they must have
received a load of of these used FCM10e's..... New or refurbished, the
risk isn't that big if you're using them in FT setup. Maybe you can
convince Foxboro to sell the used FCM's to you? Purchase some extra spares
and you're ok for a number of years.
Will lower your upgrade cost also....
Rgds,
Dirk
Dear listers and Foxboro spies,
I believe that we've been seriously let down by Foxboro.
Some really bright cookie at Foxboro decided that with the
discontinuation of the CP60 they might as well discontinue the FCM10E.
This has taken away our upgrade path to the 200 series FBMs
We have just completed the replacement of CP30s to CP60s and have
already purchased some FCM10Es and base plates to progressively move to
the 200 series I/O.
...
Anyone else in the predicament?
Cheers,
Frits Schouten.
NZSteel.
