Hi Ken,

OK ths confirm's the 241 is not suitable for our purpose. We'll use a 207
instead.

Thanks

Dirk

The thing that's probably missing here is that FBM241 is a discrete I/O module.
The I/O resolution is subject to the CP's BPC. If you are running 100ms then
your minimum reliable "capture" of those pulses is possibly 5 or less per
second.

Hi Terry,

Couldn't find anything in the PSS either, that's why I asked, maybe someone
knows the rate or had experience with it.
I'll probably buy a 207 card, I need approx. 10pulse/sec ( 10hz)

Joe,

I have plenty of 241's in stock, but no 207/206 and I don't need very high
frequency pulses so I was wondering if a 241 could handle that. Probably not,
otherwise they wouldn't have developed a 207/206 :-) Too bad, no savings
today.....

thanks

Dirk

Dirk,
The PSS for the FBM241 does not contain any information regarding the pulse
rate or duration (timing) of the ON or the OFF state. Not sure if I have the
latest PSS. You may want to check. I would only use it for slow changing
signals as in ON for many seconds or OFF for many seconds.
The FBM206 and FBM207 are the recommended IO for pulse input signals.
