Re: [foxboro] FBM231 for Non-Redundant Modbus

I tried this last week and had strange results. I didn't spend a lot of
time testing.... If you have a pair of 231's connected to a single
device, it communicates - sometimes. It worked all of the time if I ran
a jumper from one terminal connector to the other (I was testing using
RS422). Either way, when I took the tracker card out of its slot, the
communication stops on the master as well.

Sysmon will show a fault.

This was on ver. 8.2

Subject: [foxboro] FBM231 for Non-Redundant Modbus

Hello all,

Does anyone know whether i can use a single FBM231 at the place of an
FBM230 =

for non-redundant modbus communication?

According to the manual when you are using a pair of FBM231 you insert
one =

ECB202 for both. When using an FBM230 you insert one ECB200 for each
FBM. =

Could FBM231 work with ECB200? has anyone tried this before?

regards,
Dimitris
