Re: [foxboro] FBM224 redundancy?

Re: FBM224 redundancy and " We are considering doing this, What exactly is

I'm afraid that I have to admit that I don't know the details. Sigh... I
hate that.

In general, the approach would be:

1) Two FDSI FBMs
2) Two "identical" FBM configurations
3) Two sets of DCI blocks
4) Logic above the DCI blocks to switch to the good signal- Signal Select
(SSEL) is the best choice. Set it to HI (or LO) select and set the options
to reject a BAD input. The output of the SSEL is your redundant reading.

It would be easy to set this up as a loop typical in FoxCAE or IACC.

It's harder in ICC.

We are considering doing this, What exactly is entailed and how hard is
this to
setup/maintain?
