Brian,
The "F" box is a P79 (Sun-Blade-150).
I assume your running Solaris 8. There are at elast 2 support graphics cards.
The PGX 64 (has and HD15 conenct only) and the XVR-100 card (has HD15 and the
DVI)
connectors.
What I would do id this.
Remove these files if they exist:
# rm /dev/fb1 /dev/fb2 /dev/fb3
# rm /dev/fbs/*
Then perform a boot -r.
The device "/dev/fb0" is they primary graphics of the mother board and is
linked to "/dev/fbs/m640".
The second monitor should be "/dev/fb1" and link to "/dev/fbs/m641" for PGX64
or "/dev/fbs/pfb0a" for the XVR-100 card.
The problem I speculate is what ever card is actually installed is not linked
to "/dev'fb1"
Hope this make sense.

Subject: [foxboro] "F" box second video card
Were having trouble getting the second vidoe card to work on an "F" box, any
suggestions? Box came from Foxboro with card installed, Day0'd and
committed but won't recognize card.
Thanks in advance,
Brian Long
