Re: [foxboro] External Horn

We have used an external horn from Federal Signal Corp. that is available in
24VAC/24VDC, 120VAC and 230/240VAC. The sound is adjustable from 64dB to
88dB so you don't need a muffler. Model 50GC SelecTone.

You can add a Tone Module Model UTM that plugs in the back that produces 18
different sounds.

You can find more information on Federal Signal Corp. website.

I don't know CrouseHinds but I think a 120VAC will be VERY loud for a short
time in Europe where we have a lot of 230VAC.
But at least you will have an idea something is wrong.

The list is a bit quiet isn't it?

Get out your CrouseHinds catalog and pick out the 120 VAC horn that meets
your electrical classification. Then build some PLB logic to drive it. In
some areas we use timers in the logic to make 2 different alarm patterns to
differntiate alarm criticality.

I am contemplating buying a couple of external horns to use for alarming =
on a WP51D and am wondering what brand/style of horn you folks would =
