John
Foxview/Foxdraw V9.01 DEdit supports aliases in connection reports,
complexity reports, and exception
reports. V9.01 will be released later this quarter.

Subject: [foxboro] Exposing Aliases in FoxDraw 9.0
I'm doing some short-term contract work for a systems
integrator whose
customer has displays built in FoxDraw 9 and being displayed
in FoxView 9 .
I was brought up in the old days of Display Builder and
Display Configurator
on AW/WP 51's when display work was harder but very
straightforward.
The customer in question has displays that use linked
library objects and
aliases. While I can see the individual aliases by right
clicking in
FoxView, I have yet to figure out how to get d_edit to show
me the true
C:B.P's for these objects instead of just C, B, and P as
alias names. I've
downloaded and read B0193WG, especially Appendix A on d_edit
but still
haven't got it figured out.
I've been reading these posts for a long time and this is
the first time I
have ever put up one of my own. As my friend, Tom
VandeWater has said,
there is an astounding amount of knowledge among the folks
on this list. I
hope someone can dribble a little of it in my direction.
Thanks!
