Tim,
If you try to log on to the AW51 from the remote PC with 'Login' name
"ia" and 'Password" using "remote". Would you get the fonts to come up
right? Of course the Exceed has to be running on the PC before the
login. Also assuming the FV is the default display manager (default_dm)
on the AW51.

Ok, I tried HH1077 to the letter, the fonts are loaded, and nothing
changed.

I think I need to take a step back. How do you typically invoke a
FoxView from the Xstart icon on the remote PC? I haven't worked with
Exceed since FoxView came out, so I've never had to do that before. The
way it is set up here is that they log in as root, use REXEC, and run
"/bin/sh /pathname/runFV name_of_remotePC" in the Xstart Command field.
The file "runFV" is a modified version of another file called "runDM"
that successfully starts a DM with the correct fonts. All I did was
change one line in that file, the one that says
"/usr/fox/wp/bin/dm_wp50" and changed it to
"/opt/fox/wp/FoxView/foxview". As I mentioned earlier, a FoxView
appears on the remote PC, but the fonts aren't right. I copied
fontdef.dat around to pretty much every place imaginable, so I don't
think that is the problem. I think I am being too simplistic in
invoking the FoxView. I think I need to use some other script that
actually is tailored for all of FoxView's quirks, but I have no idea
what that is, and I can't find it on the web site or Cassandra. Can
anybody help?
