We don't see this issue on the Windows 7 boxes, so I often copy from the server
2008 box if needed to a windows 7 box if I have to blow to a lot of places. An
added step, but better than waiting sometimes.

We see this too, copying from Server 2008 to anything else.
Seems like the first blow is very slow, but if you initiate another right after
the first completes, it's very fast. Makes me think it's something to do with
how Server 2008 opens and/or maintains network connections.
I had started looking for an alternative to Blow a while ago. Seemed most
utilities are overkill for what someone needs to copy Fox graphics & other
files.

We have this issue too. Unfortunately, I haven't found a fix for it, so we just
have to live with it.
Not much help, I know. Sorry!

Subject: [foxboro] blow2.2
Anyone using blow utility to copy displays around?
We have I/A 9.2 on H90 win server 2008 boothost, H90's win server 2003 and
H92's XP.
To copy display's around between the stations we use blow 2.2. Worked fine on
win server 2003. We recently replaced the boothost (went from P90 2003 to H90
2008). Blow still works, I had to disable "log to file" to get it working.
I noticed blow is much slower now, it starts, then hangs for 30sec's and
continues. Any idea how I can speed it up? It's not a big deal but it's
annoying....
Thanks & rgds,
Dirk
