For unused outputs in a PLB block, I usually add a line tying the input flag to
the output,
something like this:
IFL_2 2
-----] [-----------------( )--
Look at your existing ladder logic and see if there is something like this for
the unused output, if there isn't, you can add it. Then tie the CALC block
output
to the input flag.

Subject: [foxboro] ECB8 - dc out
Dear All, We have several FBM41s at one of our I/A sites with ECB8 running
ladder logic (PLB blocks). In one of these FBM41s I want to toggle one of
the spare output channels of this FBM from boolean output of a calc block.
Can I toggle this spare output channel from the calc block in the presence
ofPLB block in this FBM. Kindly advise. Rgds, Ali Ahmed Zahidi Intech
