Re: [foxboro] Display Manager Stops Running on WP51F on Ver. 7.1.1

Jim,

If you have Operator Action Journal implemented, check for pattern of =
displays being called before the crash then take a close look at those =
displays.

Did you grep for default when you ran the ps command?

If you can, open the box ands re-seat the RAM.

Objet=A0: [foxboro] Display Manager Stops Running on WP51F on Ver. 7.1.1

Has anyone experienced the display manager to stop working on a running =
WP5=3D
1F box running version 7.1.1 software? Last week and again today I have =
ha=3D
d an experience where the display manager was not running on the box. =
This=3D
 is a dual headed box and is run in the Windows Off mode. What I have =
seen=3D
 is one head completely dark and the other has the Current Alarm page =
runni=3D
ng. Normally I could select the Previous Display button on the CAD and =
it =3D
would take me to the FoxView display that was running, but that does not =
wo=3D
rk. I can log in remotely to the box and when doing the ps -eaf =
command, t=3D
here are no DM processes running. There are no messages in the =
/var/adm/me=3D
ssage file indicating any type of failure. To get the box working again =
I =3D
just do a shutdown remotely and the restart the box and it works again. =
An=3D
y suggestions where to look first?

Thanks,
