Joe,
It's fairly simple and this is one mans thoughts,
The best way for Invensys to maintain an up to date set of documentation is
to keep it in the hands of the users through initial
purchase and supplemented by a repository such as support.ips.com. 35+
years of product documentation is not easily kept up
with at most customer sites.
All this attention to detail is not without cost.

I will never understand nor agree why this info, or any available
system-specific documentation, is not available to all IA System users; with
or without a customer service agreement. It's a damn shame...

Joe,
The situation is this: I have a working installation, which had some
problems.
I understood enough to fix the problems, but now I want to fully understand
the meaning of every parameter of the ECB20, FDSCAN, FDIDMS, FDMSBL, etc.
In many cases, the manual is not very helpful, so I thought maybe there is
some other document, "How to", "HH", "Tips & Tricks" or something of the
sort.
I just can't beleive that anybody can configure the DI30 from scratch using
the information from the manual and nothing else, unless he goes through a
long trial and error process.
