Try setting:

        HSTNAME=3D<histname>    # <histname> is your historian name

in \usr\fox\wp\data\init.user and rebooting the workstation. =

Does anyone know how to configure the historian name in the alarm
manager (AHD)? Every time it is called up the default historian is blank
and we have to select the historian. Since we only use one historian we
would like it to be the default and automatically selected.
