Does this help?
Not to shoot the messenger, but.....
no, no, No, No, NO! It would have helped to be able to individually access
bits on a graphic like in the old MCIN , MCOUT blocks. The PAKIN/PAKOUT
parameters (or lack thereof) shows a fundamental lack of understanding by
Foxboro development of what users need and use in the current system. Every
retrofit of an old gateway means that we get to bitmask these for graphics
(difficult &time consuming) or use bit extensions to connect to other blocks
(non standard and ugly), or map to MCINs, MCOUTs (kludgy, costs twice as
manyblock licenses) sucks. In so many ways the FDSIs are a far superior
product to the old integrators, but the lack of functionality of the
PAKIN/PAKOUTs still makes migration forward ugly.

But hey, what do I know. I just do this stuff everyday.

Sorry, but you really touched a nerve with this one.

So much for the performance revolution.

David
