Re: [foxboro] Copying Displays to remote workstations

Tod,

I normally use either rcp or do rmount, copy, rumount. What did you mean
by rcp not packing the display files properly? If you mean they need to
optimize, you should be able to rexec pdfpack on the target machine after
the file copy.

Additionally, if second ethernet ports are available, using these for file
copy can really cut down on nodebus and CLan loading.

Hello all,

I'm in the process of writing a program that will syncronize displays from
one workstation to many others. However, I'm unsure about the best way to
do
the actual copying.

GetRemFiles does a great job of this, but it is very difficult to script
and
rcp doesn't pack the files properly. Does anybody know of any utilities
that I can easily call from a script that will copy the files for me and
pack them at the other end?

Thanks. Tod.
