It is possible to write programs badly enough ( not that Alex ever would:-) 
)  such that it knows too much about 51A's or 51 E's.

In other words make bad assumptions about the environment.  You might notice 
that /bin and /usr/bin are the same on all platforms thus
further proving the point.
