One way of really getting a handle on what affects CP loading is to
download Foxboro's CP sizing spreadsheet and investigate changing various
parameters (block count, I/O, etc) It is interesting to see how much some
things impact loading.

Hafedh,
One answer is that EVERYTHING in the CP affects the CP load. If you take a
look at the STATION LOAD OVERVIEW from Select or FoxSelect, you can see the
contribution of various items to the overall control station load,
including
loading from IO scanning.
