Raymundo,
There are probably several options, it just depends what your needs are=
. A
few of your choices are:
1. If you want all alarms that are sent to a particular workstation (AW=
or
WP) to be able to trip an FBM contact point and to silence when the Hor=
n
Silence is picked when the horn silence (the Red button on the Modular
Keyboard, picking the ALARM menu button, or calling up a display with t=
he
Modular Keyboard), you can configure an FBM contact point for all 5 ala=
rm
priorities in the Horn.cfg file in /usr/fox/alarms. Be sure the WP
letterbug is configured in the Compound parameters as a destination for=
alarms to be sent.
2. If you already have alarm horn contacts configured, possibly for the=
local area, but you also want alarm contact points (FBM points) in a re=
mote
area to follow the local horn contacts, then just create COUT and conne=
ct
the IN parameter to the .COUT parameter of the local area horn contact.=
3. If you want to be able to select a particular compound and be able =
to
trip an alarm contact in a remote area when there is any alarm within t=
he
compound, you could possibly use an integer input in a CALC or CALCA ty=
pe
of block to monitor the COMPOUND.ALMLEV parameter and trip the contact =
if
the ALMLEV parameter value is greater than 0. Greater than 0 will get =
any
alarm in the compound. If you want to be able to select the priority l=
evel
that trips the alarm, then pick the highest priority value that you are=
interested in - i.e. if you want priority 1 or 2 alarms, then select AL=
MLEV
=3D 2. After the contact is tripped when the alarm trips, you might wa=
nt the
contact to shut off when alarm is acknowledged. Thus you might want to=
use
the COMPOUND.UNACK parameter in your CALC block logic also.
