Look at the CP60 as a bigger box. Each compound is a little toy which you can
put in the CP.
You can put as much as of these toy in the box (limit only by memory).
However, running this toy is like picking up items with two hands and each can
only put one toy at a time. So if you have a lot of toys to run in the same
time. You and your hands cannot handle them - so you have a processer-over-run
sceniro. This is when phasing get in the picuture. By phasing the execution
of these toys, you can run them without over-run. Since you interval of
picking up has been increased.
Putting the compound in does not mean you must run it. You can turn the
compound off and save the system resource for those toys you need to run.
Whether you want a lot of compound with a few blocks each or a few compound
with a lot of blocks is dependent upon your plant and operation strategies.
Each plant is different so there not one size fit all solution.
You have to look at you graphic, operating principle, archiving strategies
etc and come up with a plan that suit your need.
Hopefully this will help.

We have started to program a new CP60.
My question, is there a limit to the number of compounds?
Is it better to have few cmp with lots of blks, or lots of cmps each
with a few blks?
