Actually this is not the first time for us to encounter such failure. It
happened twice long time ago. The problem is that the SYS MGH shows
status different than what the LEDs for both CPs show. Meaning that, one
time the SYS MGM showed that both CPs are healthy "online" while the red
LEDs for both were on and vice versa. I have been contacted by a local
Foxboro engineer and we will see what we can do. Thanks Ahmed.=20

Was this a hardware failure with only red LED ON? If this was a hardware

failure then you should send your CP modules to Foxboro for enginering=20
evaluation. If this is not a hardware failure then there is a scenario
that=20
whenever you want to remove one CP for any reason you must have to make
that=20
CP module offline. If both the CPs are online and you try to remove one
CP=20
module without making it offline both CPs may go into offline state.
