We have BatchSuite 8.0, running on I/A 6.3 which works great, but
requires a termendous amount of engineering both on BatchSuite and DCS
sequences. Our attempts to install a redundant version (realy necessary
if you rely on BS, like we do) were unfortunately not succesfull and
still ongoing, seems there are very few experienced BS engineers with
Invensys. If you're planning on implementing BS plse make thorough
inquiries and make sure you get a BS experienced Invensys engineer to
assist, otherwise it will be a nightmare. There are only 3 or 4 sites
overhere which use BatchSuite, which explains why the local Invensys
office is not very familiar with it. (unfortunately)

Subject: [foxboro] Batch software milestone
Hi List,
what's going on in the Batch software area?
I/A Batch (based on Wonderware Batch software) is already some years old
and I would like to hear more about the future of that software package.
What are the features, milestones and release dates of a new version?
Regards,
Andreas
