Re: [foxboro] BCALCI/BCALCO question

Jeff,
I hate to ask a dumb question, but I'd rather do that than to make a dumb
mistake. Are you sure about the block arrangement you presented?

In the situation you describe, the BIAS block needs a BCALCI from the AOUT, but
there is only the one BCALCO in the AOUT. That is good, so leave it there.
(You should also connect AOUT.INITO to the BIAS.INITI.)

The SWCH block can take a BCALCI but, since the AIN does not need a BCALCI
there is no need to connect any BCALC to the SWCH block. Then, it will not be
TRACKING.

Now, if the SWCH block was between the BIAS block and the AOUT, then you would
use the BCALC connections to pass data through the SWCH from the AOUT to the
BIAS.

Or, I could be wrong.

Subject: [foxboro] BCALCI/BCALCO question

We're building a control loop that looks like this:

AIN -> SWITCH BLOCK -> BIAS BLOCK -> AOUT

The connections are made automatically in the IACC.  When the BCALCI, BCALCO,
BCALC1, BCALC2 connections are made, there is no output out of the switch block
and it indicates it is tracking.  When the BCALC connections are removed,
everything works correctly and the switch block no longer indicates
it is tracking.  Any thoughts as to why it doesn't work with the BCALC
connections?

Thanks,
Jeff
