Cory, David,
I just thought I'd add that if you want to get really fancy, you can have
your emails go to an external notification package like AlarmPoint or
TelAlert, which can do things like chase you down across multiple
notification methods (cell, pager, voice, email), allow for escalation to
others if you don't respond, send group notifications, etc. All these
things can be fed using email and the packages are not that expensive.
