We used to use a program called "workman".  There is no
software on the box which understands music CDs.

Seems to me that "workman" was either a for-sale pgm with
a limited function demo, or it was a public-license
program.  At any rate, it's use as a freebe did pass
the scruteny of corperate license requirements.

You know, it may even have been on that CD of examples
and demos that SUN shipped with the SPARC 5.
