We turned in a CAR a long time ago concerning this dangerous feature that was added some where around version 4.X. As far as I know, Foxboro has never provided a fix to provide a standard option for turning off the ability for the horn to silence when a graphic button is pushed. I believe there was a custom fix at one time so I think it would be easy enough for Foxboro to fix the problem. Is it possible to disable that functionality? I would be interested that only pressing the red trumpet button silences = the horn. use case: The described functionality avoids that problem that an = operator could unintentional silence the horn while calling up a = display. The operator would believe that his colleague manages the alarm = and all is prepared for a plant shutdown. At this time are two different functions (silence a horn and calling up = a display) mixed.=20 Regards, Andreas _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
