You can write VisualBasic for Excel code to extract alarm data from
AIM*Historian also. I have a sample of code I can supply you. You have to
have all the other things required to access AIM*Historian from your PC,
like the ODBC driver and a second Ethernet port if it's on an AW, etc., but
if you already have all that, you can grab any of the columns in the
AIM*Historian alarm table using VB for Excel. Let me know if you want the
code.

FoxAMI and AIM*Historian record alarm priorities. AIM*Inform
(available soon
if not out already) makes alarm reports quite simple.

Subject: [foxboro] Alarm priority in logmate
Hi List,
We are using Logmate for alarm management but it does not
print
priorities, but then again - neither does an OKI data printer - I
tried to
investigate the possibility of getting it into the message queue -
I did some checking on foxbia.flt (in Logmate) and found
that the
SQL program does not contain listing of PRIORITY.I tried to edit the
program
in SQL but for a particular tag (AIN) we have HLPR and HHAPR for AIN
and
MEASPR,DEVPRI,HHAPRI and OUTPRI for PIDA and BAP for CIN. To add
these
parameters we need seperate filter strings to be defined in SQL;
which
requires seperate fileds. Not sure if this the solution.
Is there any other way to get priorities in logmate?
Thanks and regards
suman
