The Alarm Manager allows you specify a filter on the visible alarms - those shown in the CAD - and you can change filters on line. However, for this to work the alarms from unit 1 need to be sent to unit 2. When you send the alarms, they may depending on your configuration light lamps on the annunciator keyboard AND sound unit 2 horns just like a "real" unit 2 alarm. I suspect that a "better" approach is to use a remote alarm manager from unit 1 on the unit 2 CRT. I say this with some trepidation based on your problems with the Alarm Manager, but it is the best general approach. At present we have the alarms for, say, unit 1, directed to on WP, and the alarms for say, unit 2, directed to 2 other WP's. I'd like for the unit 2 operator to be able to "back up" the unit 1 operator on handling alarms, Unit1 has an audible alarm that the unit 2 operator can hear. I was poking around in the alarm manager screens, and I found under Display -> Operations, that I can bring up a new window, that has "environments" as one of it's choices. Is there some way I can configure this so that the WP's for unit2 can "switch environments" and see the unit1 alarms? -- U.S. Encouraged by Vietnam Vote - Officials Cite 83% Turnout Despite Vietcong Terror - New York Times 9/3/1967 _______________________________________________________________________ This mailing list is neither sponsored nor endorsed by Invensys Process Systems (formerly The Foxboro Company).
