Re: [foxboro] Alarm Panel Configurator

Alan, unfortunately the response from TAC is correct.
The browse function worked for a short time at I/A version 6.2
Howvere, special blocks like Sequence Blocks were causing corrupted AAtab
files when the browse function was used in FoxPanels....The browse function
was taken away and Foxboro is currently dealing with the issue.

Of note: I tested my AW51F this morning...you should at least get the
Control Station list when you browse. However, then selecting a specific
station will produce a "CSA interface error"....
If you are not getting the list and then the subsequent error, then either
api or csa is not available to that machine.

Several CARS are currently open against the "CSA interface Error"

Subject: [foxboro] Alarm Panel Configurator

I have a question for the list. Is there anyone out there using the
FoxPanels Configurator. I would like to use the FoxPanel Configuration
utility to configure Alarm panels rather than having to go in and
manually edit the LBUGAApan and LBUGAAtab files. When I attended a
class in Foxboro, MA the utility worked. You could choose a panel and
button and then browse the CSA for the alarm that you wanted to assign
to the button. However this feature has never worked on our system. We
cannot browse the compounds and blocks from the Alarm Tab dialog box.
Nothing shows up. I have tried numerous times to get this function
operational without any success. My local Foxboro service person has
had no success and has been told by TAC that this function has not been
released yet.

I used the function over 2 years ago in Foxboro so I know that can't be
right. I talked with Alex Johnson at the ISA show back in October and
he said it worked. Is there anyone out there that is using the Alarm
Panel Configurator rather than editing the tab and pan files manually.

Just for general information we are running version 7.1 on Sun F boxes.

Thanks for any help.
