Are your AMs configured to associate with particular DMs/FVs in your
/usr/fox/customer/hi/dmcfg file?
They have to be for the 'pref' command to work.

Subject: [foxboro] Alarm Manager Access and Security
Hi List, I have been trying to configure the access classes for the
Ala=3D
rm
Manager in our I/A Version 6.1.1 System. Following the Foxboro
Documentation recommendation I have configured a set of:
/opt/fox/env/<Environment_N_name>.acl
/opt/fox/env/<Environment_N_name>.env
/opt/fox/env/<Environment_N_name>.mbr
Where Environment_N_name means one out of a group of different
environm=3D
ents
like Operator, Engineer, Maintenance, etc.
In the *.acl file we have defined the access classes allowed
according =3D
to
each Environment
In the *.env file we have defined the general rules for accessing
the
environments, like protecting all, defining the path of the rest of
the=3D
files, etc.
In the *.mbr file we have defined what will appear in the Foxview
Menu =3D
Bar.
I have defined the access code in every single button and every
single
alarm manager menu bar and drop down list item according to the
accesse=3D
s
defined in the *.acl file
I have included in these files the following lines, alone and
together
.- amcmd changenv <Environment_N_name>
.- dmcmd run /usr/local/pref -$DMTOAM amcmd "setacl 1
+++++++++"
Without success. Does any of you have any recommendation, perhaps an
example, I can use on how to configure the Alarm Manager Access
Classes=3D
and
Security?. BTW, the Display Manager / Foxview Access classes and
Securi=3D
ty
works just fine according to what we have configured.
Thanks in advance for your help and best regards
