You can connect an external horn to a COUT block.
This COUT should be added in /usr/fox/alarms/horn.cfg
#
#
# Alarm Alert Horn Configuration File
# ===================================
# Process Alarm
# Priorities
# SYS 1 2 3 4 5
# --- -- -- -- -- --
1 LID 1AW511
2 AnnunKeyboard1 1 2 0 3 0 0
3 AnnunKeyboard2 1 2 0 3 0 0
4 Console 1 2 0 3 0 0
5 Extsys <add your C:B.P from the COUT here>
6 Extpri1 <add your C:B.P from the COUT here>
7 Extpri2 <add your C:B.P from the COUT here>
8 Extpri3 <add your C:B.P from the COUT here>
9 Extpri4 <add your C:B.P from the COUT here>
10 Extpri5 <add your C:B.P from the COUT here>
Hope this helps.

Subject: [foxboro] Alarm ACK Button
Hello List,
I have been a reader since the Oct. 2005 Cassandra discussion in Houston.
Nice to get to know people like John, Alex, Duc, Jeremy and all present that
long evening. Now I am a writer too...
We are looking into getting rid of Annunciator panels for the I/A Unix
Stations. The single usage of them right now is acknowledging Process ans
System Alarms. Operators would agree to throw them away, if we can find a
similar way of acknowledging alarms... One idea that has come up was to
program some alphanumeric keyboard buttons for that (i.e. Esc button, or F1
button, etc). Foxboro has answered that the single way would be a hardwired
button. I am trying to avoid this and find something simpler and more
elegant. I know you can just click the mouse on the Process button on the
FoxView graphics to acknowledge the process alarm. But the pointer is moving
and the click could be mistakenly on the wrong field, etc, etc.
Can anybody help or has a solution to this?
Regards,
