Yes, TAC gave me the same answer, although they could not explain exactly
why this was the case. But for 700 USD for the "upgrade", I'm not going to
waste any more time trying to find out. It would have been nice if this
had been mentioned in the documentation, though, since several other topics
concerning RSLinx are discussed.

On 2 projects we had to load the RSLinx Gateway License in order for
RSLInx to accept the IOGate connection.
The RSLinx didn't need to be re-installed, but the gateway license
needed to be applied.
