Re: [foxboro] AW70 password not responding

The problem I've had with Ophcrack is that the rainbow tables
(essentially, "pre-cracked" passwords) that are supplied with it only
include letters and numbers, and only work up to a certain password length
(you have to pay to get some more complete ones). Since all he needs is
to get into the box with Fox, after which he can change that password to
whatever he wants, I'd recommend the System Rescue CD (www.sysresccd.org).
This is basically a Linux "live CD", i.e., you boot from it into a
full-blown Linux installation. On that CD is a utility, chntpw, that will
allow you to blank out the password for any account on the box.

If you don't want the full Linux experience, I think this utility also
exists on DOS boot CDs as well (Google is your friend), but I've only used
it on this one (and System Rescue CD has tons of other goodies). It is
one I carry in my own arsenal.

Kashif:
Ah, my specialty!

1) Download and burn the Ophcrack LiveCD from Sourceforge. It will crack
the passwords for all the Windows User accounts. This should be one of
the disks that you carry around with you everywhere, along with OS disks,
Ghost or True Image, and a micellaneous utilities disk.

Web Site: http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/
Download page:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=133599&package_id=167699&release_id=537116

2) Burn the ISO to a CD/DVD.

3) Boot from the CD/DVD.

4) The rest is obvious.

Kashif Ijaz,

You can search the internet for a password cracker and down load it. =
Then I would try it on an off line, dummy XP machine to see if the =
password cracker is actually mal-ware that may damage the software. =
Once you prove it is OK you can run it on your AW and it can find the =
passwords. It may take a long time if a complicated password was used, =
but most crackers will find the passwords in 8 hours or less.

Objet=A0: [foxboro] AW70 password not responding

We have AW70 (XP SP1) as OPC server connected to Nodebus through =
NCNI/RCNI. The username Fox password and Administrator password are =
changed (due to some reason)
=20
"The system could not log you on. The server authenticating you reported =
an error (oxC00000BB). You can find further details in events log. =
Please report this error to system administrator."
=20
I assume may be some one has changed the passwords. Can anyone suggest =
how to reset or change.
