Re: [foxboro] AW70 password not responding

Correct, if it's on a domain, the cracker won't work since authentication
is done remotely.
That, or if the password hash is stored as NTLMv2...but that's usually not
a problem.

Kashif,

Well, if your systems are on a Windows domain, you should have the =
administrator of that domain change those passwords back. Running a =
cracker on a system someone else administers might get you in trouble.

I personally use the UltimateBootCD to reset passwords, plus it has a =
bunch of other tools I find useful. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

Set the machine to boot from CD (in the BIOS), and the disk should boot =
the computer. Instructions are here: =
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/walkthrough.html

Since I'm a computer security guy, I would also suggest you find the =
person who reset the password to make sure you haven't been the victim =
of a hacking attempt. =20

We have AW70 (XP SP1) as OPC server connected to Nodebus through =
NCNI/RCNI. The username Fox password and Administrator password are =
changed (due to some reason)

"The system could not log you on. The server authenticating you reported =
an error (oxC00000BB). You can find further details in events log. =
Please report this error to system administrator."
=20
I assume may be some one has changed the passwords. Can anyone suggest =
how to reset or change.
