Rob-
We have experienced a similar result, and found that it was due to having
Win NT 4.0 SP5 installed instead of SP3 as stated in Ver. 6.2 installation
notes. Was able to upgrade to SP5 after installing 6.2.1 release update.

After installing Softpack 6.2, in accordance with the instructions.
No errors logged.
Typical setup, AW70 w/Cntrl and a WP70 through ethernet.
No functions involving the shell work, ie System Monitor, ICC, Oper. Act.
Journal
Other functions as Foxdraw that use the windows GUI work fine.
Anything come to mind?
