Re: [foxboro] AW70 XP and smtp

1. Yes, when your SMTP server is not running or is firewalled, i.e., port
23 (default for telnet) is being listened on by the remote host but port
25 (smtp) is not.

2. No, thankfully I only have one Windows box.

[foxboro] AW70 XP and smtp

Dear List,

has anyone experienced the problem

# telnet mySMTPserver 25
Connecting To mySMTPserver... Could not open connection
#

# telnet mySMTPserver
works
#

question 2: Does anyone use \mksnt\mailx.exe and smtpmail.exe on a
Windows box?

Regards,
Andreas
