Hi David,
Document B0193AB "Site Planning" also has all the typical device power
requirements. Just from a glance, it doesn't look like these values account
for inrush current on power up. It shouldn't be a problem, but you may want
to check the inrush/transient rating on the UPS. If you are sizing the UPS
for any significant time capability (more than just for power switching),
the max current rating should be more than adequate.

Subject: [foxboro] AW power consumption
Hello List,
I am trying to size a UPS for several (many) AW/WP D boxes. After looking
at the power supply on the back of one, it reads 110-120V, 6A. That is, I
think, about 720 watts. That sounds really high to me. I don't think the
box is hot enough to have the equivalent of 7, 100 watt light bulbs in
it. Is this the maximum amount that the Sun's power supply will consume
before it smokes? Does anyone know the nominal power consumption with one
hard drive and dual monitors. The monitors claim 3A @ 110v (~350 watts)
which seems more in line with empirical evidence.
Once I know how much current is being drawn per AW and how long things have
to ride through, I can size the UPS accordingly. (Of course we could just
get a really BIG UPS, but that seems wasteful.)
