In general, all AIM* client applications will work with the legacy historian
and AIM*Historian. 

There is one that does not - AIM*Inform. A key capability of AIM*Inform is
that it can show alarm messages. As you probably know, the Historian did not
really keep them. For that reason, AIM*Inform is compatible only with
AIM*Historian.
