David,
No errors opening APIADMIN.
The off platform AIMOPC server successfully connects to the AW51s via
AIMAPI. The AW51s each have at least one apisrvr.tcp.
We are running the OPC server as a service, and it is enabled.
Thanks, I'll check on the logging and the event viewer.
Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,
Do you get any errors when opening APIADMIN? It may be a problem with
AIMAPI. Opening APIADMIN will prove that a listening port is waiting on
the AIMAPI server if it launches successfully. You should have a
minimum of one process in the process list as apisrvr.tcp. On a couple
of occasions I have seen the an_init.tcp file become corrupt causing the
listening port not to open a connection to the API server.
Are you running the OPC server as a service or a process? If it is a
service make sure it is not disabled and is starting when the Matrikon
OPC browser is opened, if is a process make sure that AIMOPCSERVER.exe
is running when you launch the browser.
Activate the logging on the OPC server if you have not done so already.
The logging when set to high reveals most problems.
Check the Windows event viewer to see if anything looks revealing to the
errors.
