I can't believe that I can't find any kind of exponential operator in my
manuals ... surely HLBL supports X ^ Y !!!

I see basic 4-function calculator operators, modulus, logic and relational
operators ... but no exponential operator.
Surely I'm overlooking it ... right?

I see the CALC block can do logarithms and exponentials.

(Obviously, I've never had a need to do this.)
