Here's one way you can do a screen saver.
Take a look at HH747 and the man pages for "xset".
/usr/local/bin/xset q (shows present configuration) then go from there.

Subject: [foxboro] A couple of questiosn about a new WP51D
We are in the process of commisioning 2 new WP51D's that are an addition
to
an existing node.
One of the seems to beep about every 60 seconds. Anyone have an idae where
to start looking for the cause?
Also, these ar "backuP workstations, so they will not be used much of the
time, once we finish commisioning the system. I would like to have a
screen
saver on them. I've turned on the one from the OpenLook menu, but it just
blanks the screen, and I would pprefer to be able to see some activity on
them to be certain they are still alive. If I manually start the
screensaver from the OpenLook menu, I do get a non blanking screen saver.
Any idea how to get this one to coem on, rrather than the blanking one?
