Re: [foxboro] 3rd Party products on windows.

Corey and list,

I/A version 8.0 will be a Windows only release to simplify the initial
release of the many new features; CP270, HPS network (mesh), FDSI FBMs,
etc...

V8.1 is the release that will allow of these new products and features
to co-exist with previous I/A releases. The introduction of the ATS
(address translation station) that is the key to allow old and new
networking to work together.

The V8.0 beta software still has not been released yet. So version v8.1
will obviously be delayed.

Unix is not going away. Just yet.

"To make a long story short, 8.0 will not support the 50 series boxes."
Could you clarify this a bit? I wasn't aware Invensys was dumping
Solaris=20
that quickly.
