I used the IP addresses when I tried to ping the other machines.

successful in doing that, you need to check a couple of files:
/etc/nsswitch.conf and /etc/resolv.conf.

By the way, running 'ifconfig -a' on one of my AW-51B boxes shows the MAC=

addresses for le0 and le1 are the same.
