Ken,
The "old" baseplates were:
P0914XA Horizontal Baseplate With 8 Module Slots (Superceded by P0926HT)
P0914XB Vertical Baseplate With 8 Module Slots (Superceded by P0926JM)
You evidently have the new P0926HT which will work fine. Pay no
attention to the TimeStrobe connections if you won't use them. The new
baseplates moved the power and fieldbus connections from the top for
Horizontal, (side for vertical), to the front on both horizontal and
vertical. This added one inch to the height, (width), of the baseplate
from 7.75" to 8.75" but you can mount the baseplates closer together
because the FB and power cables don't get in the way. They do seem to
be less rigid or made out of lighter gauge plastic/Lexan, but the old
ones were a little deeper and that might be the difference.
Cheers,
Tom VandeWater

Subject: [foxboro] 200 series baseplates
About 15 months ago we purchased one of the B04 enclosures with the
Vertical baseplates. Just last month I ordered a horizontal din rail
mounted baseplate for a small enclosure we are retro-fitting. The Horiz.
Base plate I have in hand has two time strobe connections. Did I get the
wrong part? I can't find anything on time strobe in the FoxDocs CD. Oh
and by the way, this baseplate looks and feels very fragile compared to
the ones I got a few months ago. Have they changed this also?
