IOMOPT equals 0 - the input should be in counts (0-64000 for normal
range)
IOMOPT equals 2 - the input should be in engineering units
0 is used in the first example for the second block.
2 is used in the second example for the second block.
For some reason or another an equals sign followed by a number gets a 3D
stuck in between.
So, if I type =3D,1
You see =3D, 3D, 1
Equals signs are also inserted if there is a blank at the end of a line.
Strange, but true.

Hi Alex
I am sorry but I don't recognize the IOMOPT options that you
specif=3D
ied below (3D1, 3D0, etc.) maybe the list server is doing something
weird d=3D
o to the font that you are using?
Are there more options for IOMOPT than the standard 0,1,3 ?
Thanks
Peter

Peter,
It seems to me that you could do it with two AINs. I think there are two
ap=3D
proaches that would work, but I can't try them. As they said in my old
math=3D
texts, the proof is left to the student. :)
Option 1 - Scaled counts
Create two AINs. The first has IOMOPT=3D3D3D1 and is used to read your
physic=3D
al input. Use the scaling factors on the block to change the raw counts
so =3D
that whatever you get at 5ma is scaled to 64,000.
Connect that block's output to the MEAS of the second AIN
(IOMOPT=3D3D3D0). I=3D
think it will behave as you desire.
Option 2
Create two AINs. The first has IOMOPT=3D3D3D1 and is used to read your
physic=3D
al input and scale 0-5ma as you want it in engineering units.
The second AIN would have IOMOPT=3D3D3D2 and take in that measurement. If
you=3D
set the scales properly, I think the OSV/BAD will kick in.
Of course, free advice is worth what you pay for it. :)

Subject: [foxboro] 1-5ma input on a FBM201
Gentlemen:
I am trying to use a FBM201 to measure 1-5ma input.
I am using an AIN & can scale the output to read 0-100% for
1-5ma i=3D
n however I don't get the OOS/BAD i/o bits set when I go over/under the
OSV
The AIN block doesn't have a SCI for: Linear 3200 to 1600 ( 1
to 5=3D
mA)
Is there any way to set the raw counts scale in the AIN block
manua=3D
lly?
Thank You,
