    A new block for this sounds like a very good idea for a Product Enhancement
Request.  Especially since we face increasing pollution reporting requirements,
including averaging and totalizing for a several different time periods.

    Most of our periods so far have been static.  But we currently do a 24-hr
rolling total (with 5-min intervals) for certain pollution reporting, which
takes an array in an Ind block with 288 slots, an Accum block to totalize for
the 5 min period, and a calc block to tell the Ind block when to save the new
Accum value and reset the Accum block.  Averaging could be done similarly.
